Graduate at Física from Universidade de Havana (1990) and ph.d. at Física from Universidade de Havana (1998).
Has experience in Physic, focusing on Physics Of The Condensed State Of Substance, acting on the following subjects: propriedades dielétricas, batio3, condução iônica, ferroelétricos and densificação.
My research interest involves getting insights into the (di)electrical properties of materials (dielectrics, ion conductors, ferroelectrics, etc.) and trying to understand their correlation, if any, with the (micro)structural characteristics from such materials.
This includes discriminating between bulk and interface (e.g., grain boundaries) contributions to the total dielectric response (polarization, electrical conduction and relaxation processes) of materials, especially through dielectric/impedance spectroscopy approach. In addition, as most of these materials are in the form of electroceramics (bulk but also films), investigating on the synthesis and sintering of materials, including electric field-assisted flash sintering, is also part of my research interest.
