Analytical method for studying quasispectrum from black holes

Since the dynamics of black holes as well as the dynamics of the various fields in its vicinity are typically studied using perturbation theory, we are interested in providing analytic solutions to the corresponding perturbation equations. More specifically, we are interested in investigating the role played by the boundary conditions imposed on the radial wave solutions, for a variety of phenomena, such as the Hawking radiation, the Casimir effect, the scattering of waves, the quasinormal modes, and the quasibound states. Furthermore, the study will be extended in analog models of gravity, the so-called acoustic black holes, which are used to test the aforementioned physical phenomena in the laboratory. In addition, it is known that some acoustic metrics mimic the gravitational field of astrophysical compact objects, and therefore could shed more light into the underlying classical and quantum physics associated with these objects through analog acoustic probes.
